Nicosia, October 1, 2026 (TAK): The Ülker Nicosia Half Marathon will be held on 25 October under the organisation of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality, with Ülker as the main sponsor. As stated at the press conference held at the Bandabuliya Stage within the Nicosia Walled City, proceeds from the 14th edition will support families who lost relatives in the 30 August boat tragedy off Kyrenia. Mayor Mehmet Harmancı said the event will take place under the slogan “Running from heart to heart”, emphasising its social and athletic value. Supporting institutions stated that the event carries both sporting and humanitarian significance. This year’s marathon will include 21 km, 10 km and a newly added 5 km race, along with children’s and public runs. (RU/FG)
